Unreal jerked chicken. Excellent when paired with a side of Roti (not actually a side, an additional meal)

Been coming here for 1 year. Excellent service. Amazing quality. Huge quantity. I've tried many other Jamaican restaurants but none compare to the flavour and spice of big mommas. The gravy on the rice packs a spicy flavourful punch. Chicken is fall of the bone tender. I definitely recommend.

5 stars for real good food. Not really set up to dine in but great for take out. Could use some help with the atmosphere. Definitely recommend for Caribbean food!

Food is good, but no debit or credit, cash only.They do have an ABM in store, but then the fees for using it can add 30% to your bill.Meanwhile guess who is making money on every transaction ?

Went there today for the first time, based on the Google reviews.I definitely was not disappointed. The food was fresh and had a good taste. The owner is a really nice guy... literally runs the place on his own! Sat down close to my boyfriend and I and had a nice chat. Will definitely be back!

Finest jerk chicken north of Toronto!

Best Jerk and curry chicken I have had in years. Owner is down to earth and super friendly. You have to check this place out if you're in the area. We keep contemplating driving an hour from home in Toronto just for the food here! Can't wait to have a legit reason to go back north! !!

I don't know what went wrong with our order of Oxtail and pork stew today, but man I am sorry to say it was awful, no flavour at all, the oxtail was dry the rice was dry, same with the pork stew. We ate a quarter of it and threw the rest out. Will not be going there for take out anymore. Seriously man do you not sample your food after cooking?? What a waste of Twenty bucks.

Really glad that we have this good option for Jamaican food in Bradford! The goat roti was great and definitely my go to. Jerk was awesome also, oxtail was okay. Cash only and prices are good.

If you are ever in downtown Bradford then you have to take the time and treat yourself to Big Mommas! I just got the jerk chicken AND the oxtail. Amazing food and such good prices. This has been my secret treasure for years and it should be yours too!

Was looking for somewhere to eat on Google maps and saw the raving reviews for Big Mommas, so obviously we had to check it out. Asked the guy working there for recommendations (since everything on the menu sounded great) and he put together two plates for us. Great sized portions and food was fantastic! Was extremely impressed. Definitely will be back!!

Fantastic authentic Jamaican food and hidden gem in Bradford! It is a small shop owned by a Jamaican owner. Comparable to carribean cuisine from Toronto. Lots of variety with curry goat, oxtail, jerk chicken and even beef patties. They are all great, but my favourite would be the oxtail.

Went in today for the first time. Girl behind the counter was extremely friendly. Ordered the ox tail and was blown away. Fall of the bone tender and great flavor with the right heat to get that Caribbean kick without losing the taste. Portion for the price was more than reasonable. I'll definitely be going back to try their other dishes.

We've been visiting Big Mamma's since before there was here.It started out for us as an 'alternative' to the overly busy restaurant next door, but soon became a favourite in our dinner-out rotation. Jerk chicken, pork, two patties and two Ting's.Affordable, consistent, tasty is how I'd sum Big Mamma's up.

Just had jerk chicken with rice and peas. PERFECT fall off the bone meat and not to spicy. Will be a frequent customer for sure.

Drove down from barrie. Saw good reviews and looked like a good homestyle cooked meal. The prices are so good I had jerk pork and curry goat. Gotta say Flavour was great. Guy behind the counter couldn't believe I just found them on google. Food was fantastic. Added some hot sauce that was on the table and extra good. Definitely a delicious hole in the wall kinda place!! Friendly service and really good food. I wanna go back right now!!!

This restaurant is amazing, and I highly recommend to everyone. It’s my favourite Bradford restaurant for sure. The food always tastes great and very authentically Jamacian, and reminds me of my families cooking. The atmosphere is so comfortable and fun too. You can tell the owner took time into making the atmosphere a great place. The owner is also a great guy and always takes the time to talk to his customers and is super friendly and funny. He’s recognized me and my boyfriend since the first time we came in there, and ever since he’s always remembered us and made us feel welcome always. I’ve brought my girlfriends and my mother in law here before and they also loved this place as well. I highly recommend this to everyone.

DELICIOUS! Had the ox tail and jerk chicken and talk about tender!! My 2 year old LOVED the ox tail. We also got the goat roti and from what I heard it was equally as delicious. Everything was so tasty and fresh. Yum yum yum!

Went to the bar for New year's Eve with some friends and had a great time! Bar tender (forget her name but a cute Lil lady) was so friendly and suggesting drinks. The DJ was fantastic and even played some requests and danced with me at the end of the night 😊
